Federal University of Technology, Babura Sets Date for 2024/2025 Matriculation Ceremony
The Federal University of Technology, Babura (FUT Babura), has officially announced the date for its 2024/2025 academic session matriculation ceremony. The event will take place on Tuesday, 29th April 2025 and is exclusively for newly admitted 100 Level and Direct Entry students.

1. Matriculation Fee Payment
To participate in the matriculation ceremony, students are required to pay a ₦1,000 matriculation fee at the Bursary Department.
- Payment Starts: Tuesday, 22nd April 2025
- Important: This fee is non-refundable, and you will need to pay it before collecting your academic gown.
2. Collecting Your Matriculation Gown
Students can collect their academic gowns starting from Tuesday, 22nd April 2025 until Monday, 28th April 2025.
- Gowns are available for collection at the Academic Office.
- Note: You must pay the matriculation fee before picking up your gown.
3. Submit Required Forms
To complete the matriculation process, students must fill out and submit two forms:
- Matriculation Oath Form
- Release of Academic Gown Form
These forms should be submitted at the Academic Office after the ceremony along with the academic gown.
4. Mandatory Ceremony Attendance
All newly admitted students, including those in 100 Level and Direct Entry, are required to attend the matriculation ceremony.
- No exceptions will be made for absences, so please make sure to attend the ceremony on the scheduled date: Tuesday, 29th April 2025.
5. Returning the Gown
After the ceremony, the academic gown must be returned between Tuesday, 29th April and Monday, 5th May 2025.
- Penalty for Late Return: Failure to return the gown on time will result in a penalty.
- Lost or Damaged Gown: If the gown is lost or damaged, students will be required to pay for a full replacement.
