University of Abuja Opens 2025/2026 Degree Upgrader Programme for Applications
The University of Abuja is now accepting applications for its 2025/2026 Degree Upgrader Programme, providing an exciting opportunity for holders of HND or first degrees with third-class or pass grades to enhance their qualifications.
Managed by the Centre for Distance Learning and Continuing Education, the programme offers candidates a chance to upgrade their qualifications and broaden their career opportunities.

Admission Requirements
To be eligible for the Degree Upgrader Programme, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Hold either an HND with at least Lower Credit or a Bachelor’s degree with Third Class or Pass grade from a recognised institution.
- Possess at least five O’Level credit passes including English and Mathematics.
- Alternatively, candidates may meet one of the following qualifications:
- Two A-Level passes with five O’Level credits
- National Diploma or NCE with 10 points
- IJMB with 10 points and credit passes in the required subjects.
Accepted exam bodies include WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, GCE O’Level, and Teachers’ Grade II.
How to Apply
The application process is simple and can be completed in a few steps. The application form costs ₦20,000, excluding additional charges.
- Visit the UNIABUJA application portal
- Click on application access
- Select “Bachelor’s Degree Upgrade” this direct link
- Fill in your personal details (Surname, First Name, Email, Phone Number).
- Click “Next.”
- On the payment page, click “Generate RRR” and make payment via MasterCard or Visa Card.
- Once payment is confirmed, you will receive an application number via SMS and on your screen.
- Log out and return to the main login page.
- Enter your application number and surname to continue the application.
- Complete and submit the application form.
Application Deadline
All applications must be submitted by Friday, 13 June 2025. Late applications will not be accepted, and no extensions will be granted.
