This highly anticipated event, organized by the Board of Trustees, Council, and Senate of the university, will take place at the university’s Amphitheatre.

If you’re a 100-level or direct entry student, this is your moment! Your official entry into Babcock University begins here, and your presence at the ceremony is mandatory. It’s an exciting time to celebrate the start of your academic journey.
After the ceremony, students can enjoy their New Year break, but there’s a small important task: make sure to return your matriculation gown to the designated collection center before leaving campus on the same day.
Accommodation Guidelines
For students who wish to remain on campus after the ceremony, you’re in luck. You can stay in your halls of residence until the following day. However, please note that no student is allowed to stay beyond Thursday, December 19, 2024.
