JAMB Releases 2025 Resit UTME Results — Here’s How to Check Yours Fast

1 year ago Chisom

If you resat the 2025 UTME due to technical issues in Lagos or the South-East, your result is now out. No long story — just the facts. Here’s how to check it and what to know about cancelled scores.

JAMB Responds to Cancelled Result Rumors

There’s been a lot of talk online about some candidates keeping high scores from cancelled sessions. JAMB says that’s false.

“99 out of every 100 resit candidates scored below 200. Very few went above 217,” the board clarified.

JAMB also warned Nigerians against fake stories trying to discredit their system. According to the board, these rumors are being pushed by “mischief-makers” who are only trying to cause confusion.

So if someone claims they kept their 300+ score from the cancelled UTME — it’s a myth.

How to Check Your 2025 UTME Resit Result

JAMB has made it simple to check your resit result. You can do it in two ways — by SMS or online. Pick whichever works best for you.

Method 1: Check by SMS

No internet needed. Just follow these steps:

  1. Use the same phone number you used for UTME registration.
  2. Type this message: UTMERESULT
  3. Send it to 55019 or 66019
  4. Wait a moment — your result will come via text.

What JAMB Might Send You

Depending on your status, here’s what your reply might say:

  • Wrong number?
“This phone number was not used for registration.”
  • Successful result?
“Dear Mr/Miss X, your result is as follows…”
  • Result withheld?
    “Result Withheld.”
  • Under review?
“Result withheld pending the upload of clarifications/documents required from you.”
  • Absent from exam?
    “CANDIDATE ABSENT.”
  • Cancelled registration?
    “Registration cancelled.”
  • Entered exam hall without permission?
“Invalid Entrance into the Exam Hall.”

Tip: Keep your reply message. You might need it later for reference.

Method 2: Check Online via JAMB Portal

Prefer going online? Here’s how:

  1. Visit the JAMB eFacility portal.
  2. Log in using your registered email and password
  3. Click on “Check UTME Results”
  4. Your scores will appear on the screen

Final Note

Don’t be misled by rumors or fake news flying around social media. JAMB has been clear: all results from the cancelled UTME sessions have been wiped, and everyone had a fair chance during the resit.
