Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH), Makurdi Campus, is now accepting applications for its 2025/2026 academic session in the College of Nursing Specialty Programmes. These advanced courses are designed for Registered Nurses looking to specialize in critical areas of healthcare.

Available Programs

• Nephrology Nursing – 12 months
• Ophthalmic Nursing – 12 months
• Mental Health / Psychiatry Nursing – 18 months

Admission Requirements

To apply for the Nursing Specialty Programmes, candidates must meet the following requirements:

1. Current Registered Nurse (RN) Certificate
2. Active Practicing License
3. Five Credits in Relevant Subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB, maximum of two sittings; combination of WAEC and NECO is acceptable)
4. At Least One Year of Post-Qualification Experience
5. Employer Approval for Full-Time Study
