UNILAG Extends Registration & Screening Deadline for 2024/2025 Freshers – Here’s What You Need to Know

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has announced an extension of the screening and registration process for new undergraduate students for the 2024/2025 academic session. Freshers now have an additional week to complete their registration, with the new deadline set for Friday, 7th February 2025.

This extended period gives all new students who have not yet finished their screening the opportunity to complete the process at Jelili Adebisi Omotola Halls A and B.

UNILAG’s Step-by-Step Guide to Registration and Screening

For all newly admitted students, here’s a breakdown of the procedures to follow:

Stage 1: Booking Your Appointment

To start your registration, you must book an appointment via the UNILAG Student Portal:

  1. Visit the portal and log in with your JAMB Number or Application Number and surname.
  2. Change your default password.
  3. Navigate to the “Appointment” section, select “New Appointment,” and choose the appointment date that suits you.
  4. Print your appointment slip — this will be required at the screening venue.

Stage 2: Upload Your Documents

Before going to the screening venue, upload your documents online:

  • Log in to the UNILAG Student Portal using the credentials provided in Stage 1.
  • Fill out the bio-data form and print the screening form.
  • Upload the following documents (original copies):
    • JAMB Admission Letter
    • O’Level Result
    • Secondary School Testimonial
    • Birth Certificate
    • State of Origin Certificate
    • Additional documents (for Direct Entry candidates): Degree Certificate, Letter of Reference, and others.

Stage 3: Screening at UNILAG

Once your documents are uploaded, it’s time to attend the screening:

  • Submit two copies of the required documents.
  • Bring originals for verification.
  • Candidates must arrive on their scheduled date and time.

Stage 4: Payment of Fees

After your screening, you will generate a payment advice 24 hours later. Payments can be made at any bank using this advice.

Stage 5: Complete Faculty Registration

Finally, visit your faculty and department to complete the final stage of registration.

Important Reminders for New Students

  • Impersonation during the process can lead to forfeiture of admission and possible legal consequences.
  • UNILAG enforces a zero tolerance policy on drugs. All new students must undergo a drug test, with failure to comply or positive results resulting in the withdrawal of admission.
  • Dates for matriculation and orientation will be communicated soon.
