OAU Faculty of Pharmacy Admission Cut-Off Marks 2026/2027
If you’re dreaming of studying pharmacy at the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), it’s essential to understand how the admission screening works. The general JAMB cut-off mark for OAU stands at 200 marks. However, your admission doesn’t depend on JAMB score alone.
Here’s how OAU calculates your final aggregate score:
- JAMB Score: Out of 400 (scaled to your merit score)
- Post-UTME Score: Out of 100
- Typical Merit Score Calculation: 30% (JAMB) + 60% (Post-UTME) = 90 aggregate
Therefore, scoring above 200 in JAMB is just the first hurdle. You’ll need to perform exceptionally well in OAU’s Post-UTME screening to secure admission into competitive programmes like pharmacy. how to prepare for Post-UTME exams

Frequently Asked Questions About Nigerian Admission 2026/2027
What is the difference between JAMB cut-off and Post-UTME screening?
The JAMB cut-off (usually 200 for most institutions) is the minimum JAMB UTME score required to proceed. However, your actual admission depends on your Post-UTME score, which is combined with your JAMB score to calculate your aggregate. Many qualified JAMB candidates are rejected because they score poorly in Post-UTME, so prepare for both exams seriously.
How do I check if I’m on the PLASU postgraduate admission list?
Visit the official PLASU university portal, log in with your credentials, and navigate to the admissions section. Alternatively, check the notice boards at the postgraduate school office. Admission lists are usually published on the university’s official website and social media handles.
What happens if I miss the KADPOLY SIWES registration deadline?
Missing the SIWES registration deadline can negatively impact your academic progression. It may delay your graduation or result in academic penalties. Contact KADPOLY’s Academic Affairs office immediately to explain your situation and request a grace period or alternative arrangement.
