Borno State University Welcomes New Vice-Chancellor: Engr. Professor Babagana Gutti
Borno State, Nigeria — Exciting news for Borno State University (BOSU)! The university’s Governing Council has appointed Engr. Professor Babagana Gutti as its new Vice-Chancellor, effective October 18, 2024. This decision was approved by the Executive Governor of Borno State, Professor (Engr.) Babagana Umara Zulum, who also serves as the university’s Visitor.
A Leader for Change
As Vice-Chancellor, Professor Gutti will guide BOSU for a five-year term, overseeing both academic and administrative operations. His responsibilities include managing the university’s resources—human, financial, and material—as well as chairing the University’s Senate and serving as an ex-officio member of the Governing Council.
