Federal University of Lafia announces compulsory 2025/2026 orientation for new students

Newly admitted students of the Federal University of Lafia will begin their academic journey with a mandatory three-day orientation programme scheduled for February 18–20, 2026, the university has announced.

The orientation, designed to introduce fresh students to academic life, campus policies and student services, is compulsory for all 100 Level and Direct Entry students. University authorities say each student must attend only on the day assigned to their faculty.

The programme will hold at the 500-Seater Auditorium, Permanent Site, starting 8:00 a.m. daily.

Officials warned that attending on the wrong day could result in students receiving briefings meant for other faculties, urging strict compliance with the schedule.

Orientation schedule by faculty groups

To ensure a smooth and organized programme, the university has divided faculties into three groups:

Group A — Wednesday, February 18, 2026

Students from the following faculties are scheduled for Day One:

  • Social Science
  • Physical Science
  • Health Science
  • Pharmaceutical Sciences

Group B — Thursday, February 19, 2026

Day Two will host students from:

  • Life Science
  • Arts
  • Environmental Design
  • College of Medicine

Group C — Friday, February 20, 2026

The final day is reserved for students from:

  • Computing
  • Management Science
  • Education
  • Agriculture

Who must attend

The orientation programme is mandatory for all newly admitted students, including those in 100 Level and Direct Entry. Students are expected to report promptly at 8:00 a.m. on the day allocated to their faculty.

University management emphasized that attendance is not optional and called for strict adherence to the timetable to ensure a successful start to the academic session.
