ABU Extends SBRS Admission Form Deadline to January 31, 2026 for 2025/2026 Session
Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has officially extended the sale of admission forms into its School of Basic and Remedial Studies (SBRS), Funtua, giving prospective candidates more time to secure a place for the 2025/2026 academic session.
In a notice released by the university, the new closing date for the sale and submission of forms is now Friday, January 31, 2026 — a move that offers fresh hope to candidates who are yet to complete their applications.
What the Extension Means
The extension covers all SBRS programmes, including:
- Remedial Studies
- Basic Studies / IJMB “A” Level
Candidates are required to apply strictly through the official SBRS online portal, complete all profile details, and make payment before the new deadline.
“Applicants are expected to follow the step-by-step sequence on the SBRS portal. Missing any stage could delay or invalidate the application,” the notice warned.
How to Apply for ABU SBRS 2025/2026
All applications must be completed online through the SBRS portal. The process follows this order:
Step 1: Visit the SBRS application website.
Go to the official SBRS application website.
Step 2: Create an Account
Click “Create Account” (or “Login” if you already have one).
Enter:
- Surname, First Name, and Other Name(s)
- Gender
- Active Email Address
- Password (create and confirm)
Step 3: Log In
Use your registered email and password to log in.
Step 4: Select a Programme
Choose one:
- Remedial
- Basic / IJMB “A” Level
Step 5: Update Your Profile
Complete all required sections:
- Biodata
- Contact details
- O’ Level results
- Passport photograph upload
Step 6: Make Payment
Click “Buy Form”, then select “Pay Online”.
