The main metabolic waste products of plants are water, carbon (IV) Oxide and oxygen while that of animals are water, carbon(IV) Oxide and nitrogenous compound such as urea, uric acid and ammonia. Tannins and resins are products of plants which are stored in certain parts of the plant such as bark, leaves, fruit stalks and flowers These products are removed from the body of plant when these parts fall off. Tannins are used in making ink and processing of hides into leather. Resin is a viscous fluids excreted by plants and is used in making varnish and oil paint
