Mosses are bryophytes which have well defined alternation, of generation. Moss plant has a part called gametophyte generation which has rhizoids (root like structures) that absorb water from moist places seawalls, tree trunks where the plant lives. It has also green leaf like structures which are photosynthetic and bears male and female sexual reproductive organs that produce gametes. The second part of the plant is the sporophyte generation which is also found and dependent on the gametophyte generation Sporophyte generation bears capsule or sporangium which contains asexual reproductive structures called spores Hyphae are vegetative bodies of a fungus.
