Explanation

Genotype indicates whether the two genes or alleles that transmit a trait are similar ( homozygous) or dissimilar (heterozygous) Allele is another name for a gene. Chromosome is a thread like structure composed .of chromatin granule found in the nucleus of plant and animal cell (eucaryotic cell). It carries genes or alleles in a linear sequence. When the nucleus is not dividing, identical chromosome is not easily identified using a light microscope. However, during cell division (prophase stage); each chromosome shortens and when stained is seen clearly under the microscope as consisting of two sister chromatids held by non staining portion called centromere. Phenotype is the observable characters of an organism.
