DSexual reproduction in spirogyra also results in the formation of zygospore. This occurs when two spirogyra filaments lie side by side and a conjugation tube is developed between them. The protoplasm, in the adjacent cells round off and become gametes. The gamete from one conjugant moves .into the other through the conjugation tube. They fuse to form azygospore. Sporulation also called multiple fission occurs in Amoeba aftercarryn repeated binary fission, againg or dryness of the aquatic habitat. Gametogenesis is the formation of gar or sex cells.
