Yobe State University (YSU) has announced an extension for its 2025/2026 academic session registration, giving students additional time to complete their documentation and settle outstanding requirements.

The update comes via a circular signed by the University Registrar, Isa Audu Dallari, dated 2 February 2026. According to the notice, students are now expected to complete registration within two distinct periods: normal registration and late registration.

Normal Registration Extension
The normal registration window runs from Monday, 2 February 2026, to Saturday, 7 February 2026. Students are encouraged to complete all registration steps within this timeframe to avoid additional charges.

Late Registration Window
For students unable to register during the normal period, a late registration window is set from Monday, 9 February 2026, to Saturday, 14 February 2026.

Late Registration Fee
Students registering during the late window will incur an additional N5,000 late fee. This fee applies strictly to registrations completed between 9 and 14 February.

Permanent Portal Closure
YSU has confirmed that the registration portal for the 2025/2026 session will close permanently on Saturday, 14 February 2026. No further registration requests or payments will be accepted after this date.

Important Notes for Students
The circular applies to both returning and fresh students. All students are advised to adhere strictly to the new deadlines to avoid incurring late fees and complications associated with missing the final registration deadline.

YSU’s extension reflects the university’s effort to ensure that students have ample time to complete essential registration steps, promoting a smoother start to the academic session.
