University of Lagos Opens Applications for Part-Time Degree Programs for 2024/2025 Academic Session
The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has officially announced the opening of applications for its part-time degree programs for the 2024/2025 academic session. This exciting opportunity, through the Institute of Continuing Education (ICE), allows prospective students to earn a Bachelor’s degree (BA or BSc) without the need for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Key Details of the Program:
- No UTME Required: Applicants do not need to take the UTME to apply.
- Available Courses: Programs are offered in various fields, including Arts, Management Sciences, Science, and Social Sciences.
- Degrees Awarded: Graduates will receive either a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree.

How to Apply:
Step 1:
Register at the JAMB CAPS portal and pay a ₦3,500 fee for the JAMB registration number. UTME is not required for this application.
Step 2:
- Visit the UNILAG ICE application portal and select “Start Fresh Application.”
- Choose “ICE” as the application type.
- Complete the application form and make payment via Remita.
- After payment, return to the portal, continue your application, and use the payment reference number and your surname in small letters as the password.
- Upload the required documents and print two copies of the completed form.
- Submit one copy to the department and the other to the ICE office.
Deadline:
Make sure to submit your application at least one week before the entrance exam date.
Entrance Exam Details:
- Test Date: Saturday, 31st August 2024
- Time: 10:00 AM
- Subjects:
- English and General Paper
- Mathematics (for Management courses only)
- Arrival Time: Arrive by 7:45 AM with a printed color copy of your application form.

- Faculty of Arts: Arts Building, 4th Floor, Room 402
- Faculty of Management Sciences: New Building, Room 14
- Faculty of Science: Lab 322, Top Floor
- Faculty of Social Sciences: Mass Communication Building, beside Afe Babalola Auditorium
Admission Outcome:
Admission letters will be available two weeks after the entrance exam.
