University of Ibadan Opens Post-UTME & Direct Entry Application for 2025

The University of Ibadan (UI) has officially announced the commencement of its 2025 Post-UTME and Direct Entry application process.

Starting Monday, July 21, 2025, eligible candidates can begin their registration. If you scored 200 and above in the 2025 UTME and selected UI as your first choice, this is your green light!

But be warned—the application deadline is Saturday, August 17, 2025, and UI has made it clear: no extensions. So act fast!

Who is Eligible?

• UTME Candidates: Must have scored at least 200 and selected UI as first choice.
• Age Requirement: You must be at least 16 years old by 30 September 2025.
• O’Level Requirements:
  • College of Medicine & Pharmacy: 5 relevant credit passes in one sitting.
  • Other Programmes: 6 credits in two sittings max (in relevant subjects).

Step-by-Step: How to Apply for UI Post UTME 2025

1. Visit the UI admission portal: UI admission portal
2. Login details:
   • Username: Your JAMB Registration Number
   • Password: Your surname in uppercase
     • Example:
       • Username: 202412345678EG
       • Password: OYEDELE
3. After logging in:
   • Pay ₦3,000 for portal access
   • Pay ₦2,000 for the screening fee
   • Payment options: ATM card, bank transfer, or bank deposit (using the printout)
4. Print your payment receipt. It’s your official proof of registration.

UI Post UTME 2025 Exam Schedule

The screening test will take place between:

Monday, August 25 and Wednesday, August 27, 2025

Note: UI will notify candidates of their specific exam dates via email and SMS, so ensure your email and phone number are valid and active. If you miss the message due to wrong contact details, the university won’t be held responsible.

For Direct Entry (DE) Candidates

UI accepts the following for Direct Entry admissions:

• WAEC
• NECO
• Cambridge A’ Levels
• NCE
• ND
• HND
• Bachelor’s Degree (from recognized institutions)

Not Accepted: IJMB and JUPEP
