UNILORIN Post-UTME 2025: Registration Guidelines, Deadlines, and Scoring System You Must Know

The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has officially announced details for its 2025 Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise, with a stern warning to applicants: One mistake could cost you your admission.

If you’re aiming to secure a spot at one of Nigeria’s most competitive universities, here’s everything you must know — from deadlines to how your score will be calculated.

First, a Strict Warning

UNILORIN has made it clear — any wrong information during registration will lead to automatic disqualification. No excuses, no corrections after submission, and the school will not fix your errors.

How Your Admission Will Be Scored

Your admission chances will be determined by a weighted system:

  • 50% – UTME or Direct Entry score
  • 30% – Post-UTME screening score
  • 20% – O’Level results (five relevant subjects only)

Tip: Every component counts, so aim for strong performance in all three areas.

Registration Timeline

  • Opening Date: Monday, 28 July 2025
  • Closing Date: Midnight, Sunday, 17 August 2025

Pro tip: Avoid last-minute registration to prevent network issues or being locked out.

Before You Start Registration

  1. Use a valid email address (preferably yours, not a relative’s).
  2. Use your own phone number.
  3. Ensure your O’Level/A’Level results are uploaded on JAMB CAPS before registering. If awaiting results, select “AR” (Awaiting Result) during registration.
  4. Course change? Do it only on JAMB CAPS — UNILORIN won’t process portal-only changes.

How to Apply for UNILORIN Post-UTME 2025

  1. Visit the UNILORIN undergraduate portal.
  2. Click “Pre-admission Screening Registration.”
  3. Enter your JAMB Registration Number and Surname.
  4. Fill in your results (or select “AR” if awaiting results).
  5. Pay the ₦2,000 registration fee via Remita (ATM card accepted).

Important: Do not refresh your browser during payment. If unsure about payment status, wait for a debit alert or retry later.

  1. Return to the portal, click “Admission Login,” enter your details, review your form carefully, then submit.
  2. Print your registration slip and verify all details. Errors must be corrected immediately.

Special Rule for Certain Courses

For the following courses, only results from one sitting are accepted — no combining:

  • MBBS
  • Pharmacy
  • Optometry & Vision Science
  • Computer Engineering

For Direct Entry (DE) Candidates

  • Follow the same steps as UTME candidates.
  • Select your highest qualification during registration.
  • If you recently switched from UTME to DE, ensure JAMB CAPS reflects it before registering.

Zero Tolerance for False Information

If the results on your form do not match JAMB CAPS or if you submit false details, your admission will be canceled — even if you have already made the merit list.
