General Requirements for Class Teacher III (ULWSSS 6)

Applicable to English, Mathematics, Creative Art, PE, and Phonics:

• NCE in the relevant subject
• SSCE/NECO/WASC/GCE O-Level with five credits, including English and Mathematics (in one sitting)
• Teaching experience is optional but beneficial

Requirements for Class Teacher II (Mathematics) — ULWSSS 7

Path A

• NCE in Mathematics
• Five O-Level credits including English and Mathematics
• Minimum 4 years teaching experience

Path B

• B.Ed/B.Sc(Ed)/B.A(Ed) in Mathematics (Second Class Lower minimum)
• NYSC discharge/exemption
• Five O-Level credits
• At least 1 year teaching experience

Path C

• B.A/B.Sc + PGDE (Second Class Lower minimum)
• NYSC discharge/exemption
• Five O-Level credits
• At least 1 year classroom experience

Requirements for Class Teacher II (Phonics) — ULWSSS 7

Path A

• NCE in Phonics
• Five O-Level credits including English and Mathematics
• At least 4 years teaching experience

Path B

• B.Ed/B.Sc(Ed)/B.A(Ed) in Phonics (Second Class Lower minimum)
• NYSC discharge certificate
• Five O-Level credits
• Minimum 1 year experience

Path C

• B.A/B.Sc + PGDE (Second Class Lower minimum)
• NYSC discharge/exemption
• Five O-Level credits
• At least 1 year experience

Additional Conditions for All Teaching Staff

All applicants must:

• Hold a TRCN certificate/licence
• Be computer literate
• Be 40 years or younger

Path A

• OND (Lower Credit minimum) in Secretarial Studies, Office Technology, Administration, or related field
• Five O-Level credits including English and Mathematics
• At least 4 years relevant work experience

Path B

• B.A/B.Tech/B.Sc/HND (Second Class Lower or Lower Credit minimum) in related fields
• NYSC discharge/exemption
• Five O-Level credits
• Minimum 1 year work experience

Requirements for Executive Officer (Account) — ULWSSS 6

• OND (Lower Credit minimum) in Accounting or related fields
• Five O-Level credits including English and Mathematics
• At least 1 year work experience

Requirements for Cleaner — ULWSSS 2

• SSCE/NECO/WASC/GCE certificate
• Minimum three passes in any subjects

Requirements for Driver — ULWSSS 3

• SSCE/NECO/WASC with at least three passes
• Class E driver’s licence
• Trade Test II in Driving or Motor Vehicle Mechanics
• Minimum 3 years driving experience

Additional Conditions for All Non-Teaching Applicants

• Must be 45 years or younger
