Tertiary Students to Get N4m Students Support Fund Through Nationwide Objectives Virtual test
Students in Nigerian tertiary institutions now have the opportunity to participate in a periodic nationwide objectives virtual test, designed to encourage learning and offer rewards in the form of student support funds. The nationwide Objectives Virtual Test, which will take place on the Mobile Classroom app, encompasses various academic courses. For August 2024, the focus will be on Mass Communication, Political Science, Business/Public Administration, and Social Science Education students. Students studying these courses, regardless of institution, level, or location, can join the scheduled nationwide virtual test via the Mobile Classroom app. The beneficiaries of the available student support funds, totaling four million naira for August, will be selected through this test. Reputable guest lecturers from different higher institutions in Nigeria have been appointed to administer the nationwide Virtual Test for various categories. These lecturers have also set up their individual classes on the Mobile Classroom app, uploading video lectures on different topics that participants need to study ahead of the contest. The guest lecturers include: Dr. Ayobami Elegunde, Department of Business Administration, Lagos State University (LASU), Dr. Wasiu Tejuoso, Department of Mass Communication, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Dr. Sheidu Kamoru, Faculty of Education, University of Lagos (UNILAG) and Dr. Tokpo Coronation, Political Science Department, Federal University, Otueke. The live-based Virtual Test allows participants to join from their respective locations at the scheduled time. Participants who fail to join at the given start time will lose the chance to access the test. The schedule for the Nationwide Virtual Test in August 2024 is as follows: Saturday, 31st August, 5 pm for Mass Communication students. Friday, 30th August, 5:30 pm for Political Science students. Friday, 30th August, 6:30 pm for Business Administration students and Friday, 30th August, 5 pm for Social Science Education students. To participate, it is mandatory for prospective winners to subscribe to the guest lecturer of their interest on MYCLASS via the Mobile Classroom app. This initiative, created and funded by Mobile Classroom Ltd, aims to stimulate learning through a rewarding system that empowers youth with innovative ideas but lacks the funds to realize them. According to CEO Akeem Salami, Mobile Classroom Ltd is open to partnerships and sponsorships of the monthly nationwide virtual test to further drive learning and support students. Nigerian students are advised to follow @_myclassapp on Twitter for regular updates and guidance on periodic virtual tests and student support opportunities.
