Summit University, Offa (SUNO) has officially released the full programme for its 5th and 6th combined convocation ceremonies, scheduled to run from Wednesday, December 3 to Saturday, December 6, 2025 (12th–15th Jumadal Thanni 1447 AH).

The four-day celebration will bring together graduates, families, scholars, and distinguished guests to honour academic excellence, character development, and the institution’s commitment to community service.

A Milestone Celebration for SUNO

The convocation marks a major milestone for the faith-focused institution, reflecting years of steady academic growth and investments in research, innovation, and student development. Activities will take place within and around the university campus in Offa, Kwara State.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Abiodun Musa Aibin will host the ceremonies on behalf of the Board of Trustees, Governing Council, Senate, Management, Staff, and Students. Top academics and public figures from across the country are expected to attend.

A key highlight will be the Convocation Lecture, to be delivered by Dr (Ts’gye) Rachel T. Leslie from the Catholic University of America. The lecture is expected to offer deep insights for graduating students and younger scholars preparing for life beyond the classroom.

  A formal briefing to outline key convocation activities and share verified information with the media.

Counselling & Job Training

• Venue: Entrepreneurship Centre / Research & Innovation Unit
• Time: 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  Career guidance and workplace readiness training for graduating students.

Exhibition

• Venue: Entrepreneurship Centre / Research & Innovation Unit
• Time: 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  Showcase of student work, research outputs, and campus innovations.

Inter-University Sports Competition

• Venue: University Sports Complex
• Time: 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  Friendly sporting events featuring SUNO students and visiting teams.

DAY 2: Thursday, December 4, 2025 — Convocation Lecture & Dinner
