RSU Announces Clearance Schedule for Newly Admitted Students — See Dates and Requirements
Port Harcourt, Nigeria (Nov. 6, 2025) — Rivers State University (RSU), Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt, has officially released the schedule for the physical clearance of newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 academic session.
According to a statement signed by the Registrar, Mrs. Ibimonia B. S. Harry, the exercise will run from Wednesday, November 5 to Friday, November 7, 2025, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. daily.
The clearance exercise is designed for candidates who have been offered provisional admission into Year One and Direct Entry programmes of the university.
Step-by-Step Clearance Process
The process begins at the Information, Communication, and Technology Centre (ICTC), where initial documentation and verification will take place. After this stage, candidates will proceed to their respective faculties for final clearance and approval.
RSU Clearance Requirements for Fresh Students
All newly admitted students are required to present the following documents at the clearance venue:
- Admission Letter from JAMB
- Original JAMB Result Slip
- Accepted Admission Status from JAMB (CAPS)
- Original O’Level Certificates
- Birth Certificate
- Local Government Identification Letter
- Acceptance Fee Receipt
- All other printouts from the RSU student portal
Candidates are strongly advised to adhere strictly to the scheduled dates and bring all required documents to avoid unnecessary delays or complications during registration.
RSU Warns Against Missing Clearance Dates
The university management emphasized that the clearance exercise is a mandatory prerequisite for registration and participation in lectures. Students who fail to complete the process within the stipulated timeframe risk forfeiting their admission.
RSU also reminded candidates that all clearance and registration activities must be done in person at the approved university locations.
