Plateau State University Opens 2025 Recruitment for Academic and Non-Academic Positions
Plateau State University (PLASU), Bokkos, has officially announced the commencement of its 2025 recruitment drive, inviting qualified candidates to apply for vacancies across its Colleges, Faculties, and Departments.
Established on 5 April 2005 and accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC), PLASU is the 24th state university and 66th overall in Nigeria. The University’s permanent campus, located in the scenic Butura-Tarangol axis of Bokkos Local Government Area, offers an ideal environment for learning, research, and administration.

Qualification and Experience Requirements:
- Professor: Ph.D. or relevant fellowship (for Medicine), 12+ years teaching/research, administrative skills, publications, current rank as Reader/Associate Professor.
- Associate Professor: Ph.D. or fellowship, 10+ years experience, strong research background, publications, prior rank as Senior Lecturer.
- Senior Lecturer: Ph.D. or fellowship, 7+ years teaching/research, publications, postgraduate supervision.
- Lecturer I: Master’s, MBBS, B.Pharm, or Pharm.D., 5+ years experience; Ph.D. advantageous.
- Lecturer II: Master’s degree, 3+ years teaching/research.
- Assistant Lecturer: Master’s degree, 1+ year teaching/research.
- Confidential Secretary I: Degree/HND in Secretarial Studies, NYSC discharge/exemption, 4+ O’Level credits including English Language.
