NYSC 2024 Registration Opens: All You Need to Know for Local and Foreign Graduates
The registration portal for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) 2024 Batch “C” Stream I will officially open on November 14, 2024. This is an important notice for all prospective corps members (PCMs) — including Nigerian graduates from universities, polytechnics, and monotechnics, both home and abroad. It’s time to get ready for your NYSC mobilization process!
Here’s What You Need to Know About NYSC Registration:
For Locally-Trained Graduates:
- National Identification Number (NIN) Required:
Before you begin your registration, ensure you have a valid National Identification Number (NIN). This is mandatory for completing your online registration. - Fresh Registration or Revalidation:
- If you are registering for the first time, select “Fresh Registration.”
- If you’ve previously been deployed in an earlier batch but did not report to camp, select “Revalidation.”
- If you’ve registered before but didn’t finish, click “Login Here” to continue where you left off.
- Facial Capture Tips:
You will need to capture your facial image during registration. Make sure you are well-dressed, as blurry images will not be accepted. This will be used for your passport photograph. - Important Personal Information:
Your Date of Birth, Date of Graduation, and Course of Study will appear on your NYSC Certificate of National Service or Exemption Certificate. These details cannot be corrected once you’ve completed your registration at the camp, so double-check everything carefully before submission. - Special Categories:
- Armed Forces Personnel: If you’re a member of the armed forces, ensure to indicate this and upload valid documentation during online registration.
- Married Female PCMs: If you are married and seeking marital concessions, upload your marital documents.
- PCMs with Disabilities or Health Challenges: Indicate this during your registration and upload any relevant documents.
- Watch Out for Errors:
It’s your responsibility to carefully review your registration. Monitor your online registration process to avoid unnecessary mistakes.
For Foreign-Trained Graduates:
Foreign-trained graduates must follow additional steps for a smooth NYSC mobilization.

- Avoid Multiple Accounts:
Do not create multiple accounts on the NYSC portal. Stick to one account for a hassle-free experience. - Required Documents:
- Upload original copies of your credentials.
- Ensure your name is spelled correctly as it appears on your degree certificate.
- Your SSCE result should be at least 4 years old.
- Pre-Camp Verification:
- You can register online from anywhere, but you will need to thumbprint in Nigeria before attending the orientation camp.
- Select a Pre-camp physical verification center when completing your online registration. This is crucial for confirming your credentials.
- Once you’ve registered, visit the verification center with original copies of your degree certificate, transcript, and travel documents for physical verification.
- Translation of Your Certificate:
If your degree certificate is in a foreign language, bring a translated version with you to camp. - Exemption or Exclusion Status:
If you are exempt from service, you must collect your Exemption Certificate at the NYSC National Directorate Headquarters (NDHQ) in Abuja.
- If you are excluded from service, your Exclusion Letter will be available on your online dashboard.
