Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if I don’t accept my admission offer on JAMB CAPS before the deadline?
Your admission will be forfeited, and your space will be offered to another candidate. Universities in Nigeria strictly enforce acceptance deadlines. Once you miss the window, you may need to apply again in the next admission cycle or pursue supplementary admission if available. Always check your JAMB CAPS status immediately after results are released.
Can I change my course at SAZU after physical screening?
Yes, but only if it was approved during your physical screening. You must then process this change on the JAMB portal before accepting your admission. Do not assume changes are automatic—you must manually update your records to avoid complications.
Which O’Level examination bodies are accepted by Nigerian universities?
Nigerian universities accept O’Level results from WAEC (West African Examinations Council), NECO (National Examinations Council), NABTEB (National Business and Technical Examinations Board), and NBAIS (National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies). Ensure your results are from one of these recognized bodies before uploading.
