LAUTECH Releases 2025/2026 Harmattan Semester Academic Calendar
Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) has officially released the amended academic calendar for the 2025/2026 Harmattan semester, providing students, staff, and parents with a clear guide to key academic dates.
The calendar, approved by Vice Chancellor Prof. R. O. R. Kalilu on behalf of the Senate, outlines critical deadlines for registration, lectures, assessments, breaks, and examinations. Students are strongly advised to study the schedule carefully to ensure smooth participation in all academic activities.
Key Dates for the 2025/2026 Harmattan Semester at LAUTECH
August 2025
- Saturday, 8 August: 2024/2025 Rain semester examinations end; 2024/2025 academic session concludes
October 2025
- Monday, 6 October: Fresh students resume; certificate verification, documentation, and registration begin without penalty
- Monday, 13 October: Returning students resume; registration without penalty begins
- Monday, 27 October: Lectures commence for all students
November 2025
- Sunday, 9 November: Registration without penalty for returning students ends
- Monday, 10 November: Registration with penalty for returning students begins
- Thursday, 13 November: Fresh student registration verification ends
- Friday, 14 – Sunday, 16 November: Registration with penalty for fresh students
- Saturday, 22 November: Registration with penalty for returning students ends
- Monday, 24 November: Orientation for fresh students
- Thursday, 27 November: Matriculation
- Sunday, 30 November: Final closure of students’ registration portal
December 2025
- Monday, 1 – Saturday, 6 December: Mid-semester Continuous Assessment (CA) tests via CBT
- Monday, 8 December: Lectures resume for all students
- Tuesday, 23 December: Christmas and New Year break begins
January 2026
- Friday, 2 January: Break ends; lectures resume Monday, 5 January
- Saturday, 10 January: Lectures end
- Monday, 12 – Saturday, 17 January: Lecture-free week and tutorials
- Monday, 19 January: Semester examinations begin
February 2026
- Saturday, 14 February: Semester examinations end; Harmattan semester concludes
- Monday, 16 February: Semester break begins
March 2026
- Sunday, 1 March: Semester break ends
- Monday, 2 March: 2025/2026 Rain semester begins

The academic calendar was released under reference R/DAA/UC/30 on 11 November 2025 by Julianah O. Oyetola (Mrs.), Deputy Registrar, Senate and Exams, for the Registrar.
