LASU Opens Online Course Registration for 2025/2026 First Semester — What Students Must Know

Lagos State University (LASU) has officially launched its online course registration portal for full-time undergraduate students ahead of the 2025/2026 first semester. The university is urging both freshers and returning students to begin the process immediately to ensure seamless academic activities and accurate departmental records.

Why This Matters

With the new session set to begin, LASU says early registration will help prevent congestion, reduce administrative delays, and give students enough time to resolve errors before classes start.

Fee Payment Requirements

Before accessing the course registration portal, students must meet the minimum fee payment threshold:

  • Stream 1 students: At least 70% of school fees
  • Stream 2 students: At least 50%

LASU notes that the system will not allow course registration unless the required fee percentage has been paid.

How to Complete the Online Course Registration

1. Fill Out the Online Form Carefully

Students are to log into the portal and complete the course registration form. LASU advises students to double-check every entry, ensuring that selected courses match departmental guidelines.

2. Add or Remove Courses When Necessary

The portal allows students to make corrections, add courses, or delete wrongly selected ones before final submission. This ensures that academic records remain accurate.

3. Print and Get Departmental Endorsement

Once the online process is completed, students must print the following documents:

  • Course Registration Form
  • Examination Slip

Both documents must be signed and approved by the Head of Department (HOD) for official recognition during the semester.

Registration Timeline and Penalty Fees

LASU has opened the registration window for two weeks from the date of the announcement. Any student who misses this period will be required to pay a late registration penalty, according to rates approved by the university’s management.

The university strongly advises students to complete both payment and registration early to avoid unnecessary charges.
