LASU Issues Reminder to Freshers: Complete Your Medical Screening Now or Risk Registration Delays
Since March 3, 2025, Lagos State University (LASU) has been conducting mandatory medical screenings for all new students — but many are yet to show up.
Despite the availability of daily walk-in screenings at the Health Centre’s old building, turnout has been unexpectedly low. With registration deadlines approaching, university authorities are urging freshers to take immediate action or face potential delays in completing their registration.
Why These Screenings Matter
Medical screenings at LASU are more than just a routine requirement. They are a crucial step in the onboarding process for every newly admitted student. Skipping this process could result in administrative setbacks that may affect your ability to register for classes or access other campus services.
If you’re a fresher and haven’t completed your screening yet, this is your call to act — and fast.
Where to Go and What to Bring
Venue:
Outpatient Section, Old Health Centre Building, LASU Campus.
Time:
Screenings take place daily. No appointment is needed — simply walk in.
Required Documents and Items:
- Two recent passport photographs
- A printed copy of your medical screening payment receipt
- Your personal pen and paper
Important:
To avoid overcrowding and maintain order, parents, friends, and former students are not allowed into the screening area. Only the students being screened will be permitted inside.
Don’t Let This Delay Your Journey
Failure to complete the health check could cause delays in your registration process — and that’s a problem no fresher wants. The sooner you complete it, the sooner you can focus on enjoying campus life and beginning your academic journey without stress.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to speak with the health centre staff. They are available on-site to assist and provide guidance.
Bottom Line:
Your time at LASU starts with a single step — your medical screening. Don’t let something this simple become a roadblock. Head to the Health Centre today and get it done.
