LASU Announces 2025/2026 Part-Time Entrance Exam Schedule — Full Guidelines for Candidates

Lagos State University (LASU) has released the full schedule and requirements for its 2025/2026 School of Part-Time Studies (SPTS) entrance examination, a compulsory step for all applicants seeking admission into its part-time degree programmes.

The university issued a detailed briefing to help candidates prepare ahead of the exam, outlining the date, time, venue, required documents, and rules all applicants must strictly follow.


Exam Date, Time & Venue

LASU’s School of Part-Time Studies entrance examination will be held as follows:

  • Date: Saturday, 29 November 2025
  • Time: 9:00 a.m. prompt
  • Venue: LASU Computer Test Centre (LASU-CTC), Babajide Sanwo-Olu Library Complex, LASU Main Campus, Ojo, Lagos.

Candidates are strongly advised to arrive well before 9:00 a.m. to locate their halls, complete verification, and receive instructions from examination staff. LASU officials emphasised that punctuality will directly impact candidates’ smooth participation.

Who Must Sit for the Exam?

The entrance exam is mandatory for all applicants to the LASU part-time degree programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session, including:

  • Applicants for regular part-time degree programmes
  • Direct Entry applicants through the School of Part-Time Studies

LASU warned that any candidate who misses the examination may forfeit admission for the academic year.

Documents Required on Examination Day

Candidates must come to the venue with the following documents:

For All Applicants

  • Printed copy of the completed application form
  • A valid means of identification, such as:
    • National ID Card
    • Voter’s Card
    • Driver’s Licence
    • International Passport
    • LASRRA Card

Important: The name on the ID must match the name on the application form.

Extra Documents for Direct Entry Applicants

Direct Entry candidates must bring:

  • Original copies of their post-secondary academic qualifications
  • Photocopies of the same documents for submission

Accepted qualifications include:

  • National Diploma (ND)
  • Higher National Diploma (HND)
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Recognised professional certificates (where applicable)

LASU advises candidates to arrange these documents neatly in a simple file for easy verification.

Conduct Expectations on Exam Day

LASU outlined compulsory conduct rules for all candidates:

  • Punctuality: Sit in the hall before 9:00 a.m.
  • Decorum: Maintain calm, respectful behaviour within and around the venue.
  • Compliance: Follow all instructions from invigilators and authorised staff.

Prohibited Items Inside the Exam Hall

The following items are not allowed in the examination halls:

  • Mobile phones
  • Smartwatches
  • Tablets
  • Laptops
  • Any electronic devices or gadgets

Candidates are urged to leave such items at home or keep them securely outside the exam environment.

LASU emphasised that adherence to these rules will ensure a fair, peaceful, and well-organised examination process.
