Lagos State University of Education Opens 2026/2027 PGD Admissions — Full List of Courses, Requirements and How to Apply
The Lagos State University of Education (LASUED) has officially announced the start of admissions into its Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session, inviting qualified candidates to apply through its online portal.
The institution, located in Oto/Ijanikin, Lagos State, with an additional campus at Odo–Noforija, Epe, said applications are open through its newly established Postgraduate College. Interested applicants are advised to carefully review the requirements and application procedures before submitting their forms.
LASUED releases list of available PGD programmes
LASUED confirmed that the following Postgraduate Diploma programmes are available for the new academic session:
- Postgraduate Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism
- Postgraduate Diploma in Data Science and Analytics
- Postgraduate Diploma in Networking and Cybersecurity
- Postgraduate Diploma in Virtual Communication and Media Technology
- Postgraduate Diploma in Health Information Management
General admission requirements for LASUED PGD
To qualify for admission, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of five (5) O’Level credit passes in SSCE, WAEC, GCE or NECO, including English Language and Mathematics
- A good honours degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in a relevant field
How to apply for LASUED 2026/2027 PGD admission
The university stated that all applications must be completed online. Applicants are expected to follow these steps:
- Use a valid email address as the username on the application platform
- Use your surname as the password
- Make a non-refundable payment of ₦25,000 into the designated LASUED account
- Complete the Postgraduate Application Form via the LASUED postgraduate admission portal
- Fill the form carefully step-by-step and submit at the final stage
- Print the e-registration slip after submission for reference
Important notes for applicants
LASUED emphasized several key conditions:
- Candidates who have not completed the National Youth Service (NYSC) are not eligible to apply
- Academic transcripts for first degree programmes must reach the university within two weeks after the close of form sales
- Shortlisted candidates will participate in a compulsory interview
Duration of the PGD programmes
The PGD programmes will run for a minimum of one academic session, spanning two semesters, according to the university.
Closing date for application
Sales of application forms will close six weeks from the date of publication. Prospective students are encouraged to apply early to avoid last-minute delays.
