FUTO 2025 Post-UTME/DE Form Now Available — Here’s Everything You Need to Know!
If the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) is your dream school, now is the time to make your move. FUTO has officially opened its online portal for the 2025/2026 Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise.
Whether you chose FUTO as your first choice or you’re just switching to it now via JAMB CAPS, this guide has all the information you need—from eligibility and deadlines to cut-off marks and how to apply.
Important Dates
- Application Opens: Wednesday, 23rd July 2025
- Application Closes: Sunday, 31st August 2025
- Transcript Submission Deadline (Direct Entry): Saturday, 24th August 2025
No extension will be granted after the deadline, so apply early!
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, candidates must:
- Be at least 16 years old by 30th September 2025
- Score a minimum of 150 in the 2025 UTME
- Have at least 5 O’Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics (in not more than two sittings)
- MBBS applicants must have all five credits in one sitting
For Direct Entry Applicants
You must possess at least one of the following:
- OND, HND, NCE, A-Level, or a First Degree in a related discipline
- Also, ensure your official transcript is sent to:

FUTO Cut-Off Marks by Department
150 and Above:
- Agriculture: Agribusiness, Animal Science, Crop Science
- Biological Sciences: Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology
- Environmental Sciences: Surveying, Urban Planning
- Engineering: Agricultural, Food Technology, Polymer & Textile
- Physical Sciences: Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics
- Management & Logistics: Maritime, Project Management
- Health Sciences: Dental Tech, Environmental Health
- Social Development: Procurement, Sustainability Studies
170 and Above:
- ICT: Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering
- Engineering: Civil, Chemical, Mechanical
- Health Sciences: Public Health, Optometry, Prosthetics
- Others: Architecture, Telecommunication, Electronics
200 and Above:
- College of Medicine: MBBS only
Before You Apply
- Make sure your JAMB subject combination matches what’s listed in the JAMB brochure
- Upload your O’Level result on JAMB CAPS by 24th August 2025
- Use a valid phone number and email address
- Any inconsistency in details between your FUTO form and JAMB record will lead to automatic disqualification
- Application is strictly online — no physical submissions allowed
Application Fee
- ₦2,000 only
(Payable via Remita at any bank or online)
How to Apply for FUTO Post-UTME/DE 2025
- Visit the FUTO’s website
- Click on “Prospective Students” → “Undergraduate” or go directly to the FUTO application portal.
- Click “Generate Invoice”
- Enter your JAMB Registration Number to get a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR)
- Pay online or at any commercial bank
- Return to the portal and click “Application Form”
- Log in with your JAMB number
- Fill in the form carefully and verify all entries
- Click Submit
- Print your acknowledgement slip
- Wait for further updates from FUTO
Final Tips
- Don’t forget to upload your O’Level result or send your transcript (if Direct Entry)
- Missing the deadline or skipping a step means automatic disqualification
