DELSU Sets Strict Deadline for Acceptance Fee Payment as 2025/2026 Session Begins
The management of Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, has issued a firm reminder to all newly admitted students to pay their acceptance fees on or before Monday, October 27, 2025, or risk forfeiting their admission offers.
In a notice released on Thursday, October 23, 2025, the university management emphasized that the directive applies to candidates admitted in the first, second, and third batches across all programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session.
According to the statement, any candidate who fails to complete the payment by the deadline risks losing their spot, as available spaces may be reallocated to other qualified applicants on the waiting list.
Official Resumption Schedule Released
DELSU has also confirmed the official resumption dates for the new academic session:
- Sunday, November 2, 2025 – Resumption for fresh students
- Sunday, November 16, 2025 – Resumption for returning students
Students are strongly advised to take note of these dates and make adequate preparations for the start of the new session.
How to Secure Admission: Pay Your Acceptance Fee Early
The university reiterated that payment of the acceptance fee serves as confirmation of admission and is a mandatory step for all newly admitted candidates.
New students are to complete the process through the official DELSU online portal, as only those who have paid the acceptance fee will be eligible for registration and orientation exercises.
Candidates are also reminded to keep a copy of their payment receipt, as it will be required during documentation.
“Failure to pay within the stipulated period may lead to automatic withdrawal of the admission offer,” the management cautioned.
