CDCFIB Kicks Off 2025 Online CBT for Shortlisted Candidates — Full Guidelines Released
The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has officially announced the commencement of its online Computer-Based Test (CBT) for shortlisted applicants in the ongoing 2025 recruitment exercise.
According to the board, the AI-monitored examination will begin on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at exactly 9:00 a.m., and only candidates who received official scheduling are eligible to participate.
In a statement issued by the board, CDCFIB emphasized that this phase of the recruitment process is strictly for verified candidates and warned that any breach of exam guidelines may result in disqualification.
AI-Proctored Exam to Ensure Transparency
The online test will be conducted through an AI-proctored system designed to detect malpractice, unauthorized assistance, or suspicious device interference. The system will automatically flag irregularities such as phone calls, switching between apps, or attempts to cheat during the examination.
This technology-driven approach reflects CDCFIB’s ongoing commitment to transparency, fairness, and merit-based recruitment across all participating agencies — the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services.
Key Instructions for Candidates
To ensure a smooth and fair examination process, CDCFIB has provided the following essential guidelines for all shortlisted candidates:
- Preparation: Candidates must secure a stable internet connection, an uninterrupted power supply, and a reliable device — preferably a laptop.
- Device Use: While phones and tablets may be used, any interruptions such as calls or app switching will trigger system alerts. Multiple violations can result in automatic disqualification.
- Portal Access: The examination portal will open 30 minutes before each test. Candidates must log in via the official recruitment site recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng — using their assigned exam window.
- Verification: Each participant is required to complete a photo verification before joining the virtual waiting room, where the test will automatically begin at the scheduled time.
Reconnection After Disruption
In the event of disconnection during the test, candidates can rejoin the session within the allotted time. The system automatically saves progress, allowing participants to continue from where they stopped — a feature designed to maintain fairness and equal opportunity for all.
CDCFIB Reiterates Commitment to Fair Assessment
The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board reaffirmed its dedication to a transparent and accountable recruitment process. The use of AI proctoring, according to the board, ensures that every candidate is assessed purely based on merit, compliance, and integrity.
“We encourage all applicants to prepare thoroughly, follow the rules, and complete the test with honesty and confidence,” the statement read.
As thousands of applicants prepare for the next phase of the recruitment exercise, CDCFIB extended its best wishes to all candidates participating in the 2025 Computer-Based Test.
