The Governing Council announced this significant decision on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, with Mr. Hemba set to officially begin his new role on Friday, November 1, 2024.
Who is Mr. Barnabas Terfa Hemba?
Before stepping into this pivotal position, Mr. Hemba served as the Deputy Registrar, focusing on the Senior Staff Establishment Division at BSU. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Technology from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, showcasing his strong academic background.
A Proven Leader in University Administration
Mr. Hemba is not new to leadership within the university. He currently leads the Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA) at BSU and is an active member of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), where he previously served as Branch Chairman. His extensive experience in university administration positions him well to drive improvements and innovations at BSU.
