Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, has officially reopened its admission portal for the physical screening of prospective students into the 2025/2026 academic session.
This development follows the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board’s (JAMB) recent extension of the admission exercise for public universities across Nigeria, giving institutions more time to complete their admission processes.
Why ATBU Reopened Its Admission Portal
According to a statement issued by the Registrar, Kabiru Garba Aminu, on November 3, 2025, the decision to reopen the portal is to accommodate candidates who have not yet completed their admission procedures or those who need to update their application details.
The university emphasized that this reopening is part of its commitment to ensuring fair access and proper documentation for all qualified applicants.
ATBU Physical Screening Schedule and Venue
The management announced that the physical screening exercise will run from November 3 to November 10, 2025.
All eligible candidates are required to attend the screening at:
NCC Building, Gubi Campus,
Along Ningi–Kano Road, Bauchi State.
Important Notice on Course Changes
During the screening, applicants will be allowed to change their course preferences, except for programmes that have reached their capacity limits.

- Medicine (MBBS)
- Nursing
- Public Health
- Veterinary Medicine
- Architecture
- Quantity Surveying
- Civil Engineering
- Computer and Communications Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
