AFIT Kaduna Announces 2025/2026 Students Orientation Programme — “Start-Blocks for a Successful Academic Journey”

The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Kaduna, has officially announced the schedule for its 2025/2026 Students Orientation Programme, an event designed to welcome new students, introduce them to campus life, and guide them toward academic and personal success.

Themed “Start-Blocks for a Successful Academic Journey,” the two-day event will hold at the Ibrahim Alfa Auditorium on October 27 and 28, 2025, starting at 7:45 a.m. daily.

Commandant’s Welcome and Guest Lecture

The Commandant of AFIT, Air Vice Marshal S. L. Rabe (GSS, psc, fdc, fawc(+), BEng, MSc, MNIM, LAME, COREN), will officially welcome the newly admitted students to the new academic session.
In his opening address, he is expected to emphasize AFIT’s values, academic expectations, and the opportunities available for intellectual and professional growth.

Adding more depth to the event, the Guest Lecture will be delivered by Dr. Abigail A. Abenu from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Her presentation will focus on helping students build solid academic and personal foundations as they embark on their university journey.
