What is the ABU DAC?

The Division of Agricultural Colleges (DAC) is a unit under Ahmadu Bello University, offering National Diploma (ND), Special ND II, and Higher National Diploma (HND) programs in agriculture and science-related disciplines. The DAC consists of three colleges, located across different regions in Nigeria:

  • Samaru College of Agriculture, Zaria
  • College of Agriculture and Animal Science, Mando – Kaduna
  • Kabba College of Agriculture, Kogi State

Admission Requirements

For HND Applicants:

  • Minimum Lower Credit in a related ND course
  • One-year industrial training (IT) after ND
  • 5 O’Level Credits, including English, Maths, Chemistry/Physics, and Agric/Biology
  • Some programs require specific ND/NCE backgrounds (e.g., Pest Management, Animal Health)

ND Pass holders with 2–3 years of relevant experience may also be considered.

For ND Applicants:

  • Must have registered with JAMB
  • Must upload O’Level results to the JAMB portal
  • Must change institution to DAC on JAMB CAPS
  • Minimum of 5 O’Level credits, including English and Mathematics

For ND Applicants:

  • Pay ₦2,000 via Remita (online or bank)

For HND & Special ND II:

  • Pay ₦2,500

Application Steps:

  1. Select the correct application type
  2. Create an account
  3. Generate your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR)
  4. Make your payment
  5. Complete and submit the online form
