ABSU Sets December 12 for Optometry Induction as Graduates Prepare for Professional Practice
Abia State University (ABSU) has officially released details for its 30th Induction and Oath-Taking Ceremony for graduating Doctors of Optometry, marking a major milestone in the academic and professional journey of its students.
According to a notice from the Office of the Registrar, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ndukwe J. Okeudo, is inviting the university community, parents, guardians, and members of the public to be part of the event. The ceremony represents a crucial transition for each graduate as they move into full professional practice in the field of optometry.
The induction ceremony is scheduled to hold on Friday, December 12, 2025, at the University Auditorium, located on the main campus in Uturu. The event will begin at 11:00 a.m.
In line with tradition, guests are advised to be seated by 10:30 a.m., ahead of the Vice-Chancellor’s formal procession into the hall. This early arrival is encouraged to ensure an orderly programme and a seamless flow of activities throughout the ceremony.
