FULOKOJA Begins 2025/2026 Hostel Payment — Strict Rules Set to Curb Fraud
The Federal University Lokoja (FULOKOJA) has officially commenced the accommodation payment process for the 2025/2026 academic session. In an announcement released on November 10, 2025, the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Isah Yinusa, urged all students—both new and returning—to adhere strictly to the approved payment and clearance procedures to ensure a valid hostel allocation.
According to the notice, students must first obtain official clearance from the Dean of Students’ Office before making any accommodation payment. The university emphasized that any payment made without clearance will not guarantee a hostel bed space, regardless of the amount paid.
Step-by-Step Process for FULOKOJA Hostel Clearance and Payment
The university outlined the following approved steps for a secure and verified accommodation process:
- Visit the Dean of Students’ Office to complete the required clearance process.
- After clearance, obtain the official accommodation account details directly from the Dean’s Office.
- Make payment only through a direct bank teller deposit into the university’s official accommodation account.
FULOKOJA explicitly warned that online transfers, mobile app payments, and POS transactions are not accepted. Such payments will be considered invalid and will not appear in the university’s accommodation database.
Verification and Final Hostel Allocation
After making the bank teller payment, students are required to return to the Dean of Students’ Office with the original teller slip. This slip serves as proof of payment and must be presented for final hostel registration and room assignment.
The notice further cautioned that any student who fails to follow the approved process may lose their hostel space for the 2025/2026 session. The policy, according to Prof. Yinusa, aims to promote transparency, accountability, and the elimination of fraudulent or unofficial transactions within the accommodation system.
Early Action Advised
Prof. Yinusa encouraged students to act promptly, follow the approved steps carefully, and keep all receipts and teller slips safe. He noted that timely action and proper documentation will help students avoid delays and complications during hostel allocation.
“Students are advised to complete their clearance and payment early to secure their accommodation without issues,” he said.
With these new measures, FULOKOJA reinforces its commitment to ensuring a fair, transparent, and fraud-free hostel allocation process for all students in the new academic session.
