Wesley University Set for 14th Convocation: Focus on Faith, Education, and Sustainability
Wesley University, Ondo, has officially announced the schedule for its 14th Convocation Ceremony, set to take place from Tuesday, November 18 to Sunday, November 23, 2025.
The week-long event, themed “J. Wesley Missiology & Education for Sustainable Development in the 21st Century,” is expected to draw scholars, students, and distinguished guests from across Nigeria and beyond to reflect on the intersection of education, faith, and sustainability in a rapidly evolving world.
A Celebration of Learning and Leadership
Wesley University has long been recognized for integrating faith-based values with academic excellence. The 14th Convocation is more than a graduation ceremony — it’s a platform for dialogue on how education can promote sustainable growth and moral transformation in society.
According to the university, this year’s convocation will showcase how research and education can tackle pressing social and environmental challenges, underscoring Wesley University’s mission to produce responsible and impactful graduates.

A. International Conference (Tuesday, 18th – Thursday, 20th November 2025)
The convocation week opens with an international conference featuring academic paper presentations, thematic panels, and a press briefing.
Scholars will engage in deep discussions on mission studies, theology, and sustainable development, followed by the launch of conference proceedings and a special journal presentation.
B. Convocation Ceremonies (Thursday, 20th – Saturday, 22nd November 2025)
The central convocation events will include:
- Convocation Crusade
- Convocation Lecture
- Project Dedication
Degrees will be awarded to deserving graduates, and outstanding individuals who have made significant contributions to education and community service will receive special recognition.
A Festschrift in honor of the Vice-Chancellor will also be unveiled — a tribute to visionary leadership and academic excellence.
C. Convocation Thanksgiving Service (Sunday, 23rd November 2025)
The week will close with a Thanksgiving Service, a spiritual reflection on God’s grace and the university’s journey of growth.
This event will bring together staff, students, alumni, and friends of Wesley University in a collective celebration of unity and faith.
