IAUE Uploads Student Data to NELFUND Portal, Sets January 26 Deadline for Loan Registration
The management of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE) has officially confirmed that the data of all undergraduate students have been successfully uploaded to the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) portal.
This major update means that every eligible IAUE student can now proceed to register for the Federal Government’s Student Loan Scheme for the 2025/2026 academic session — a move aimed at promoting equitable access to higher education across the country.
How to Register for the NELFUND Student Loan
According to the university, students are to complete their registration online via NELFUND portal During this process, they must provide accurate personal and academic details to ensure successful verification and loan processing.
ICTC to Assist Students During Registration
To guarantee a seamless registration experience, IAUE’s Information and Communications Technology Centre (ICTC) has been directed to:
- Set up a support desk to guide students through the registration process.
- Send secure SMS or email notifications containing each student’s verified data as captured on the university’s portal.
Students who face any challenges during registration are encouraged to visit the ICTC help desk on campus or check their university email accounts for instructions.
Registration Deadline: January 26, 2026
The university has set January 26, 2026, as the final deadline for all IAUE students to complete their NELFUND registration. Management emphasized that no extensions will be granted beyond this date.
A Call for Prompt Action
In a closing statement, IAUE management urged all undergraduate students to register without delay and verify the accuracy of their information before submission.
“This student loan initiative represents a major step toward financial support and inclusive education for all Nigerian students,” the statement read.
