LASU invites qualified professionals to boost their healthcare management skills
Lagos State University (LASU), in collaboration with LASU Consult Limited and the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), has officially announced the commencement of admissions for its Postgraduate Diploma in Hospital Administration and Management for the 2025/2026 academic session.
This initiative reinforces LASU’s long-standing commitment to providing world-class education and professional training across key sectors in Lagos State — particularly in healthcare management and administration.
Programme overview
The LASU Postgraduate Diploma in Hospital Administration and Management is a multidisciplinary programme designed to train and empower professionals in both the health and administrative sectors. It aims to equip participants with the technical, managerial, and leadership skills needed to efficiently manage hospitals, clinics, and other health service organisations in both the public and private domains.
Graduates of this programme will be positioned to take up leadership roles within Nigeria’s evolving healthcare landscape — from hospital management to policy formulation and operational oversight.
Admission requirements
To be eligible for the programme, applicants must satisfy one of the following conditions:
- Possess a bachelor’s degree in Science, Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, Pharmacy, Humanities, or Social Sciences from a recognised university, with five O’Level credits including English Language and Mathematics.
- Hold a Higher National Diploma (HND) in relevant disciplines such as Social Sciences, Sciences, or Management from an accredited institution, with five O’Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics.
- Mature candidates with relevant work experience and at least three O’Level credits may also be considered.
Duration: One academic year
Application Fee: ₦10,000 (Ten thousand naira only)
How to apply
Interested candidates are to obtain the application form from the Workforce Planning and Recruitment Unit, MRC Building, LASUTH.
All completed forms must be submitted with the following:
- Photocopies of academic credentials
- A current Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Two recent passport photographs on a white background
- Other relevant supporting documents
Applicants will undergo a Computer-Based Test (CBT) at LASUTH. Those who are successful will be invited for an oral interview, during which they must present original copies of their certificates.
Application deadline
The application period runs for six weeks, from November 4 to December 18, 2025.
