Northwest University Sokoto Announces 2025/2026 Resumption and Registration Dates

The Senate of Northwest University Sokoto (NWUS) has officially approved the resumption and registration dates for both newly admitted and returning students for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The decision was reached during an emergency Senate meeting held on Monday, November 3, 2025, at the university’s main campus. The session was presided over by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Mukhtar Umar Bunza.


Registration Timetable for New and Returning Students

According to the Senate’s directive:

  • Newly admitted students are to commence registration on Monday, November 17, 2025, and complete it by Monday, December 1, 2025.
  • Returning students will begin their registration on Monday, December 1, 2025, and conclude on Monday, December 15, 2025.

The Vice Chancellor emphasized that late registration will not be tolerated, urging all students to adhere strictly to the approved schedule to avoid penalties.

University’s Commitment to Academic Excellence

Speaking after the meeting, Professor Bunza reaffirmed NWUS’s dedication to maintaining an efficient and reliable academic calendar. He noted that the university had made extensive preparations to ensure a supportive learning and research environment as students resume.
