UNIUYO Releases 2024/2025 & 2025/2026 Academic Calendar
The University of Uyo (UNIUYO) has officially announced the start date for the First Semester of the 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 academic sessions. According to the university’s management, academic activities will commence on Monday, November 3, 2025, for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, with lectures beginning the same day.
The announcement confirms that newly admitted students from the 2025/2026 UTME intake will resume alongside returning students. UNIUYO advised all students to adhere strictly to the schedule to ensure a seamless start to the new semester.

Monday, November 3, 2025
- Commencement of First Semester and registration for all students.
November 3 – November 14, 2025
- Registration without penalty (2 weeks).
November 24 – December 5, 2025
- Registration with penalty (2 weeks).
November 3 – December 12, 2025
- Lectures for all students (6 weeks).
December 15 – December 19, 2025
- Orientation for new students.
December 22, 2025 – January 2, 2026
- Christmas break (2 weeks).
January 5 – February 13, 2026
- Continuation of lectures after the Christmas break (6 weeks).
February 16 – February 20, 2026
- Revision week for First Semester.
February 23 – March 6, 2026
- First Semester examinations for all undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Registration Guidelines and Compliance
UNIUYO emphasized that all students must complete their registration through the official university portal within the stipulated period. Any student who fails to register before the final deadline will be considered to have voluntarily forfeited their studentship.
Departments and faculties have been directed to strictly enforce the registration policy to maintain academic order.
Orientation and Matriculation
Orientation for newly admitted students will run from December 15 to December 19, 2025. The date for the Matriculation Ceremony will be announced later by the university management.
