University of Uyo Announces 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 Academic Calendar
The University of Uyo (UNIUYO) has officially released its approved academic calendar for the 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 academic sessions, outlining a comprehensive schedule for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
According to the management, the First Semester will commence on Monday, November 3, 2025, with lectures beginning the same day. The detailed schedule is designed to help students, staff, and departments plan ahead for lectures, registration, examinations, and holidays efficiently.
First Semester Key Dates (2024/2025 & 2025/2026 Sessions)
- November 03, 2025: Start of First Semester
- November 03 – November 21, 2025: Registration without penalty (3 weeks)
- November 24 – December 05, 2025: Late registration with penalty (2 weeks)
- November 03 – December 12, 2025: Lectures begin for all students (6 weeks)
- December 15 – December 19, 2025: Orientation for new students
- December 22, 2025 – January 02, 2026: Christmas Break (2 weeks)
- January 05 – February 13, 2026: Continuation of lectures (6 weeks)
- February 16 – February 20, 2026: Revision week
- February 23 – March 06, 2026: First Semester examinations (2 weeks)
- March 09 – March 20, 2026: Semester break (2 weeks)
Second Semester Highlights
- March 23, 2026: Start of Second Semester
- March 23 – April 10, 2026: Registration without penalty (3 weeks)
- April 13 – April 24, 2026: Late registration with penalty (2 weeks)
- March 23 – June 12, 2026: Lectures for all students (12 weeks)
- June 15 – June 19, 2026: Students’ Union Week
- June 22 – June 26, 2026: Revision period
- June 29 – July 10, 2026: Second Semester examinations (2 weeks)
- July 13 – August 21, 2026: Long vacation – Retake and Amnesty Examinations
