EKSU Extends Post-UTME Registration to October 31 — Full 2025/2026 Admission Details
Ekiti State University (EKSU) has officially extended its Post-UTME screening registration deadline for the 2025/2026 academic session. The new closing date is Thursday, October 31, 2025, giving prospective candidates more time to complete their online applications.
According to the University management, the extension aims to ensure that no eligible student misses the opportunity to participate in this year’s admission exercise. The move also reflects EKSU’s commitment to accommodating candidates facing technical or documentation delays.
“This extension is to ensure inclusivity in the admission process. We encourage all qualified candidates who are yet to register to take advantage of this opportunity,” the school said in an official statement.
Screening Highlights: No Written Exam This Year
The gates are open again at Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, as the 2025/2026 admission process begins. Unlike previous sessions, EKSU’s screening exercise will not involve a written examination. Instead, the University will assess candidates based on their academic records and credentials.
The screening officially began on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, and welcomes both Post-UTME and Direct Entry candidates.
Applicants who scored 150 and above in the 2025 UTME and are willing to make EKSU their first choice on JAMB CAPS are eligible to apply.
In addition, candidates from Pre-Degree and JUPEB programmes who passed their qualifying examinations can also register. Students awaiting their WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB results are advised to apply once results are available.
Departmental Cut-off Marks
Some departments require higher UTME scores. Below is the official breakdown:
| Course | Minimum UTME Score |
|---|---|
| Medicine & Surgery | 260 |
| Law | 250 |
| Doctor of Pharmacy | 240 |
| Nursing Science | 230 |
| Medical Laboratory Science | 220 |
| Mass Communication | 200 |
| Engineering | 180 |
| Computer Science | 180 |
| Medical Biochemistry | 180 |
Candidates who do not meet these benchmarks may still be considered for other programmes.
EKSU also accepts JUPEB candidates with at least 7 points, but the IJMB qualification is not accepted.
