Adecom College Hosts First-Ever Combined Convocation Ceremony
The Adecom College of Business and Management is set to make history with its first-ever combined convocation ceremony, a week-long celebration marking a major milestone in the institution’s journey of academic excellence and community service.
The event, which runs from Monday, November 10 to Sunday, November 16, 2025, promises to blend education, culture, sports, and thanksgiving in a vibrant display of unity and achievement.
According to the college management, this inaugural convocation is more than just a graduation—it’s a symbol of Adecom’s growth, resilience, and commitment to nurturing well-rounded graduates who contribute meaningfully to society.
A Week of Events Celebrating Success and Service
Day 1 – Monday, November 10: General Awareness Day
The celebration kicks off with an awareness rally across campus. Students and staff will engage in colorful parades and interactive activities to officially open the convocation week.
Day 2 – Tuesday, November 11: Press Conference & Unveiling Ceremony
Adecom will host a press conference to unveil the National and School Flags, alongside the launch of the Adecom School Magazine and commissioning of a new school bus—symbolizing progress and institutional pride.
Day 3 – Wednesday, November 12: Sports & Praise Day
A day of excitement begins with a novelty football match between Adecom’s School Team and DaBoss Polytechnic, followed by a staff match. The evening will conclude with a Praise and Worship Concert featuring top gospel artists and the Adecom Music Crew.
Day 4 – Thursday, November 13: Community Service & Medical Outreach
Students and staff will extend their hands of service to the Egbeda community, offering free medical check-ups and humanitarian aid, showcasing Adecom’s unwavering commitment to social responsibility.
Day 5 – Friday, November 14: Staff Conference, Recognition & Jumat Service
The Annual Staff Conference will feature the recognition of outstanding lecturers and non-academic staff. The day will end with a special Jumat prayer, where the Muslim community will express gratitude for Adecom’s progress.
Day 6 – Saturday, November 15: Grand Convocation & Award Ceremony
The highlight of the week—the Grand Convocation Ceremony—will see graduates from the 2020–2025 academic sessions awarded their National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) certificates.
Special awards will also be presented to distinguished guests and Best Graduating Students from each department for their excellence and leadership.
Day 7 – Sunday, November 16: Thanksgiving Service
The week-long celebration will close with a Thanksgiving Service at Highways Sanctuary International, where staff, students, and well-wishers will come together in gratitude for a successful convocation.
