The University of Calabar (UNICAL) has officially released its comprehensive notice regarding the hostel accommodation exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session. According to the management, both fresh and returning students who wish to secure a bed space in any of the university hostels must strictly adhere to the outlined procedures and eligibility requirements.
In a statement issued by the Office of the Dean of Students, UNICAL emphasized that only students who have completed full payment of their school charges will be eligible for hostel allocation.

To qualify for hostel accommodation, students are required to meet the following conditions:
- Full Payment of Fees: Students must have paid all approved school charges for the 2025/2026 academic session in full.
- Proof of Payment: Each applicant must submit a photocopy of the verified school charges receipt for the session.
- Indication of Hostel Preference: Candidates must clearly write their preferred hostel name (e.g., Hall 6, Hall 8, or Hall 9) at the back of the verified receipt.
- Submission Deadline: The completed document should be submitted to the Dean of Students’ Office on or before Friday, October 24, 2025.
UNICAL further noted that students who fail to meet these requirements or miss the deadline will not be included in the hostel allocation list.
