Delta State University Announces Change of Course Opportunity for Direct Entry Candidates
In a major update for admission seekers, the management of Delta State University (DELSU) has officially announced the release of the Direct Entry Change of Course Form for the 2025/2026 academic session.
This development offers a lifeline to candidates who did not meet their departmental cut-off marks or were not admitted in the first batch. These applicants can now apply to programmes with lower cut-off points and still stand a chance to secure admission this academic year.
How to Apply for the DELSU Direct Entry Change of Course Form
The university outlined a clear application process for interested candidates:
- Apply for a Change of Course on the JAMB Portal
- Visit any accredited JAMB CBT centre.
- Request a change of course to any programme whose cut-off mark is lower than your aggregate score.
- Update Details on the DELSU Portal
- Visit the official DELSU student portal to update your application details and confirm your course change.
- For DELSU JUPEB and CCEP Candidates
- Forward evidence of your JAMB change of course and updated portal details to the Directors of JUPEB and CCEP for prompt processing.
Important Notes for Applicants
- The new course you choose must have a lower cut-off mark than your previous one.
- Example: If the cut-off mark for Mass Communication is 76, only candidates who scored 76 and above may apply to that course.
- Candidates must ensure their O’level and Direct Entry qualifications meet the requirements of the newly selected course.
- The closing date for submission of the DELSU Direct Entry Change of Course Form is Sunday, 19th October 2025.
- No extension will be granted after the deadline.
- Candidates from JUPEB and CCEP will be given processing priority.
