ATBU Bauchi Opens 2025 Recruitment Portal for Academic and Non-Teaching Staff
The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, one of Nigeria’s foremost technology-based federal universities, has announced the opening of its 2025 recruitment portal for both academic and non-teaching positions across several faculties and departments.
Established in 1980 as a Federal University of Technology and later renamed in 1988 to honour Nigeria’s first Prime Minister, Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, the institution continues to uphold its legacy as a hub of technological innovation and academic excellence in the North-East region.

Requirements and Qualifications
Senior Lecturer (CONUASS/CONMESS 05):
Ph.D. in relevant discipline or equivalent postgraduate medical qualifications (FWACS, FMCP, FMCPath, etc.) with 12 years of cognate experience.
Lecturer I (CONUASS/CONMESS 04):
Master’s Degree or equivalent medical postgraduate qualification, 4 publications, and 9 years of experience.
Lecturer II (CONUASS/CONMESS 03):
Master’s Degree and 2 publications with 6 years of experience, or a fresh Ph.D./MBBS/MDS holder with professional registration.
Assistant Lecturer (CONUASS/CONMESS 02):
Master’s Degree from a recognized university with NYSC certificate and requisite professional registration (for medical sciences).
Laboratory Technologist I (CONTISS 08):
Degree/HND in relevant discipline, 3 years of experience, NYSC certificate, ICT proficiency, and professional registration.
Laboratory Technologist II (CONTISS 07):
Degree/HND in relevant discipline, NYSC certificate, and ICT competence.
